London Penny: How did you get into music?

Raw Ki: A white rabbit jumped into a hole, and I jumped in after it. No hesitation.

But you were probably asking about three-dimensional matters, so I'll answer like I'm a person. . .

My Father is a musician, my Brother is a musician, and our Grandma before us was a painter. All in all, I was destined from birth to be a fruitcake, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

LP: Who are you influenced by - musically or personally or both?

Raw Ki: I could list people until my clock ran out of time. Here, I'll mention three artistic references: Tech N9ne, Aesop Rock, George Watsky. My next release will go deeper into this topic.

LP: Let’s talk about your EP “Open End.” What was the writing / recording process like?

Raw Ki: I wrote those songs while very angry. I'm still very angry. “Open End” in an intro to Raw Ki, a greeting. Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, it's time to get down to business.

LP: How would you describe your stage presence?

Raw Ki: Raw Ki = Pure Energy

LP: Do you have any pre-show rituals before you go on stage?

Raw Ki: The rabbit and I summon a shadow hawk to terrorize our enemies on the astral plane.

That and Lip Trills. Lip Trills paired with extended pitch slides will transform you if you let them.
