Prymer Releases Single 'Shatterpoint'

Prymer, an electrifying pure rock-n-roll band from Warrensburg, Missouri, released the single ‘Shatterpoint’ on September 19. This is the band’s most recent follow-up to their live album ‘Poor Boy $pecial (Live in the Basement’ released earlier this year in March.

“‘Shatterpoint’ is inspired by WWII fights and keeps that theme throughout the song,” Prymer says. “However, the song itself is about our underdog story and how we’ve had to fight to get to where we are now.”

Prymer released their debut single ‘Beg Steal or Borrow’ in 2021, followed by ‘Shadow in the Dark’ that same year, and then a third single ‘Small Town Stuck’ in 2022.

“Our sound has evolved a lot since the beginning days, especially since the band started out leaning into the genre of country music. Once we started writing more and more originals, it started organically to go into a slightly heavier direction,” Prymer says. “We obviously wear our influences pretty heavily on our sleeves, but we still try to stay true to our own sound and what feels best to us; that is something we will forever be experimenting with.”

‘Shatterpoint’ is hard-hitting from the get-go. A blazing guitar opens the track, building energy. The lyrics are fierce and determined. For a song that is over 4 minutes, it doesn’t feel that long. The energy never ceases throughout. It’s fierce, catchy and addictive.

Prymer had a two-day tour in Texas to promote the single during the weekend it was released.

The band’s next show is at Mercer Fish Fry on October 5.
